Ahead of their major festival appearances and outdoor headline shows this summer, Shed Seven have announced two intimate warm up shows at Buckley Tivoli and University Of Wolverhampton At The Wulfrun Hall. Support on both shows will be from special guest Weston Loney. Tickets for these dates go on sale Friday 4th April at 9am via www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
Hailing from York, Shed Seven released their debut album ‘Change Giver’ in 1994, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Emerging as one of the big hitters during the heyday of Britpop, their catalogue leading to seven Top 20 hits including classics such as ‘Going For Gold’, ‘Chasing Rainbows’, ‘Disco Down’ and ‘On Standby’; as well as six Top 10 albums.
The band’s latest orchestral album ‘Liquid Gold’ reached the number one spot last winter, their second number one album of 2024 following ‘A Matter of Time’ which soared to the top of the UK albums charts last January. Shed Seven are one of only 20 artists to achieve this incredible milestone.
As well as major festival appearances Shed Seven will also be headlining a series outdoor summer shows Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl, Leeds Millennium Square and Scarborough Open Air Theatre which will see them deliver career-spanning sets. Rick Witter said:
