Scopyons & Ufology – Friday 7th May 2027
Scopyons (so named as a copy of the scorpions) Formed in late 2011, the band spent nine months in rehearsal before launching in September 2012. They quickly gained recognition, performing in Munich, Germany, with Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs in March 2013. Since then, they have performed extensively across the UK and Europe. Scopyons focus on reproducing the energetic, live sound of The Scorpions, covering material largely from 1978 onwards as well as earlier Uli Jon Roth-era tracks.
Ufology is the second project from the members of Scopyons, scorpions tribute band. It features the addition of keyboard player Chelle Houston and is purely focused on a selection of music from UFOs classic live album ‘Strangers In The Night’
The whole idea of Ufology was to provide an ideal compliment to open for Scopyons and bring the music of the Schenker Brothers (Michael and Rudy) together in a real life Schenker Fest.
