Charity event “For The Lucky Huw” – Saturday 26th July 2025
Huw was born 7 weeks premature and he was diagnosed with trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) 48 hours after his arrival. His diagnosis has meant he’s more susceptible to other medical complications and his parents want to be able to help him as much as they possibly can. Unfortunately the majority of his conditions are out of their control. However, his bilateral talipes (feet turned inwards) and low muscle tone (hypotonia) are things they can help and support him with. Huw needs to work a lot harder than a typical baby to meet his physical milestones (holding his head up, sitting up, rolling over) and so we’re hoping to help him with specialist physio. We will also look at providing him with sitting aids etc. as and when he needs them.
